About Me
I spent eight years as a traffic enforcement officer in central Texas before moving into driver education full time. During my years on patrol, I saw the same preventable collisions over and over, and most of them came down to poor scanning habits, distraction, and a lack of situational awareness. That frustration pushed me to shift careers and focus on teaching drivers how to avoid those crashes in the first place. I hold state certifications in defensive driving instruction in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, and I have taught thousands of students through both classroom and online formats.
My teaching style is direct and scenario-driven. I use real dashcam footage, insurance claim data, and NHTSA crash statistics to show students exactly what goes wrong on the road and how small changes in behavior prevent it. Students who finish my courses walk away with a clearer understanding of traffic law, better hazard perception skills, and usually a nice discount on their insurance premiums. I keep the material grounded in what actually happens on highways and city streets, not abstract theory.
