Teaches in: Dog Training
About Me
I've spent the last fourteen years working with dogs of every breed, size, and temperament. What started as a part-time gig at a local shelter in Portland turned into a full-blown career when I realized most dog bites and behavioral issues could have been prevented if the owner had simply understood what their dog was trying to tell them. I became obsessed with decoding canine communication — the subtle ear shifts, tail positions, lip licks, and whale eyes that most people miss completely.
In my courses, I break down dog body language into clear, usable signals you can actually spot in real time. I use real footage from shelters, homes, and parks to show you what calm, stressed, fearful, and playful dogs actually look like. Students walk away able to read their own dogs more accurately, intervene before tension escalates, and build a relationship based on what the dog is actually feeling rather than what we assume.
